Short Biography:

  • 2004: Bio-ingenieur in de cel- en gentechnologie (bachelor Universiteit Antwerpen, 2001 & master KU Leuven, 2004).
  • 2008: PhD in Bio-ingenieurswetenschappen  (FWO aspirant) - promotoren Prof. Jos Vanderleyden en Dr. Sigrid De Keersmaecker van het Centrum voor Microbiële en Plantengenetica (CMPG): specialisatie microbiologie, genetica, probiotica
  • 2008-2011: Postdoc KU Leuven (PDM & FWO): urogenitale probiotica en mucosale immunologie
  • 2011-2016: onderzoeksprofessor (TTZAPBOF) aan departement Bio-ingenieurswetenschappen UAntwerpen +  10% gastdocent aan het CMPG van de KU Leuven
  • 2016-....: onderzoeksprofessor en hoofddocent (ZAPBOF) aan departement Bio-ingenieurswetenschappen UAntwerpen
