Young Scientist Award
The Young Scientist Award of IPC recognizes the achievements of outstanding young scientists who are at the beginning of their carrier and who conduct basic or applied research on probiotics or prebiotics.
The “Young Scientist Award of IPC2012” is funded by DuPont, platinum sponsor of IPC2011, and will be presented to the presenting author of the best oral paper that fulfills the following criteria:
- The presenting author is PhD and under the age of 35
- Orally presented paper at plenary session of main conference (not at satellite symposia)
- Application for Young Scientist Award indicated at on-line abstract submission
The paper eligible for Young Scientist Award is expected to
- show high scientific standard
- indicate the independence of the candidate in performing scientific research in probiotics and prebiotics or related areas
- bring forward new ideas, new concepts, applications or understanding of probiotics and prebiotics
The best paper will be elected by the Scientific Committee of IPC2012 and the award will be presented during the third day of the conference.
