Prague is the largest city of Czech Republic and also the centre of the country. It can be conveniently reached by air, train, bus and car.

 

By air:

Prague international airport operates two terminals. Terminal 1 is designated for departures to countries outside of the Schengen Area while Terminal 2 handles departures to the Schengen Area member states. Terminal T1 and T2 can be reached by all mainstream international airlines: British Airways, Korean Air Lines, Rossiya Airlines, Air Malta, Czech Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Aegean Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Air Canada, United Airlines Inc., Finnair OYJ, Deutsche Lufthansa, etc.. Also low budget airlines like Ryan Air, Travel Service, Easy Jet  or Wizz Air have Prague as destination.

How to get from airport to downtown hotel

By taxi: There is a kiosk where reliable taxis are organized very fast. Use their partner FIX TAXI and Taxi Praha taxi service providers for getting to/from the airport. Credit card payment is possible.

By any means avoid freelance taxis at airport or downtown. They can charge triple of affiliated taxis. You better spend your money on good czech food.

 

By train

Travel by train to see the countryside and captivating natural sights.

From Budapest (BUD) airport you can get to main railway station by taxi or by bus. There are direct trains to Prague. The journey takes 7 hours.

From Vienna (VIE) airport you take taxi or bus to railway station Vienna (Wien) Westbahnhof or Vienna (Wien) Meidling, where you can take direct express train to Prague. The duration of the journey is 4 hour.

From Bratislava (BTS) airport, the taxi (approx. € 15) takes you to the main railway station. There are scheduled trains going directly to Budapest. The journey takes 4 hours.
