Guidelines for Presenting Authors

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations are always accompanied by PowerPoint presentations. The speakers are entirely responsible for the presentation content (order, graphics etc…). All presentations and questions must be delivered in English. Time reserved for scientific presentation is:

  • Length of Plenary lecture and discussion is 50 min.
  • Length of Keynote lecture including discussion is 40 min.
  • Lenght of Invited lecture including discussion is 20 min.
  • Length of Oral presentation including discussion is 15 min.
  • Length of Oral presentation of YSA[1] including discussion is 10 min.

The chairpersons of your session will be strict in allowing no more than the time allocated to your paper. Discussion will take place immediately after your presentation.

Presentation Format

Please, prepare your presentation preferably using PowerPoint version 2013 or 2016, however older versions are also supported. Screens’ aspect ratio will be 16:9. Please note that Apple Keynote and Prezi presentations are not supported, and they have to be converted into PDF files.

When saving your final presentation to the USB stick please make sure to include your video files and all links to these multimedia files.

No presentation template is prepared, you are welcome to use your own.

Depositing the File

Presentations must be handed over to the personnel in the SPEAKERS´ PREVIEW ROOM, with a USB stick, as far in advance as possible and TWO hours before the start of entire session, where the presentation is to be displayed. The presentation for an early morning session should be handed over the evening before.

SPEAKERS´ PREVIEW ROOM will be located in Room 2.2, which will be clearly marked.

[1] YSA definitions: The scientist must have reached his/her 36th birthday on or before 19 June, 2019, must have finished his/her PHD and have at lest 5 years working experience in the research area, has published scientific articles in scientific journals or is about to publish, present paper at plenary session at the main conference (not at satellite symposia), application for Young Scientist Award is indicated at on-line Abstract Submission


Opening hours of Speaker’s Preview Room

  • Monday, 17 June - 12:00 – 19:30
  • Tuesday, 18 June - 7:30 – 21:00
  • Wednesday, 19 June - 8:00 – 19:15
  • Thursday, 20 June - 8:00 – 18:30

In the Lecture Room

All presentations will be sent directly to the lecture room through the internal computer network. Please, we kindly ask all authors NOT to come at the last minute with their own computer into the lecture room. All presentations must be downloaded in the SPEAKERS´ PREVIEW ROOM beforehand.


Poster Presentations

The presenting authors are entirely responsible for the poster content (order, graphics etc…).

All posters must be delivered in English. Kindly note the posters should not exceed the given dimensions, which are 120 x 90 cm, portrait orientation. Posters will be hanged on standard poster boards.

All accepted posters will be printed and mounted by organisers.

The poster number will be printed on the poster board as well as on your badge.

The poster will also be listed in the list of posters in the Conference Application which would allow the interested participants to contact authors directly via the App.

You are welcome to present your poster in shorten oral form during the Poster Session (Tuesday 18 June, starting at 18:00) to the plenary audience and after the Poster Session use the opportunity to discuss your research with interested participants at your poster board.
