Awards at IPC2019

The Young Scientist Award (YSA) and the Best Poster Award (BPA) of IPC2019 recognize achievements of outstanding young scientists, who are at the beginning of their career and who conduct basic or applied research on probiotics, prebiotics, gut microbiota and health.

YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD

DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences

The Scientific Committee of IPC will elect the 3 best papers and the awards will be presented during the third day of the conference. The first prize is sponsored by DUPONT with 1000€, second and third prizes with valuable gifts.  When receiving the prize, the YSA winners must be present and sign the agreement with the conference organiser. 

The “Young Scientist Award of IPC2019” will be presented to the presenting authors of the best oral paper that fulfills the following criteria:

  • the presenting author is PhD or PhD-student and under the age of 32
  • application for Young Scientist Award is indicated at on-line abstract submission by fulfilling the "Year of birth"

The paper must be presented at plenary session of the main conference, (not at satellite symposia) application for Young Scientist Award indicated at on-line abstract submission.

THE BEST POSTER AWARD

ICFMH-IUMS
BPA will be presented by ICFMH – The International Committee on Food Microbiology and Hygiene of the IUMS, and will be presented to the presenting author of the 3 best poster papers that fulfills the following criteria:

  • the presenting author is PhD or PhD-student
  • application for Best Poster Award indicated at on-line abstract submission

The Scientific Committee of IPC, led by Prof. Wilhelm Holzapfel will elect the 3 best poster papers and the awards will be presented during the third day of the conference. The first prize is sponsored by ICFMH-IUMS with 250€, second with 150€ and third with 100€.
