Why was the IPC 2020 postponed?

The IPC 2020 in Prague was postponed due to the risk associated with the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. We are glad that we were able to work with the venues and local vendors to enable this adjustment in our schedule and to keep the IPC2020 in Prague. As you experienced the conference in the summer last year, we have been preparing an excellent program interleaved with a healthy dose of culture and social activity for you to experience. This time, in winter Prague!

What is the programme for the rescheduled Conference?

The IPC 2020 will be held at the same venue, the Prague Congress Center (PCC). The Conference itself will run from Monday, 9 November to Thursday, 12 November 2020 inclusive.

Registration

I am currently registered for the Conference and plan to attend the rescheduled Conference, to be held on 9 – 12 November 2020. What do I need to do?

No action is required, your registration will be transferred to the rescheduled dates. You will receive an email confirming your rescheduled registration.

My registration was managed by a sponsor or agency, what should I do?

From our side your registration is still valid. Please get in touch with your sponsor or agency to arrange your participation in November 2020.

I am currently registered for the Conference and do NOT plan to attend the rescheduled Conference, to be held on 9 – 12 November 2020. What do I need to do?

You may request a refund by sending an e-mail to registration@probiotic-conference.net. Requests for refunds must be received by 8 September 2020. Please be informed that a 50 EUR administration fee will be deducted from all refunds.

What if I do not request a refund before 8 September 2020?

From 9 September 2020 until 8 October 2020 50% of the fee will be refunded

From 9 October 2020, no refund can be processed.

I had cancelled my registration for the Conference, but I am now able to attend the rescheduled Conference, to be held on 9 – 12 November 2020. Can I reinstate my registration?

Yes. You can send a request to registration@probiotic-conference.net to have your registration reinstated at the original rate. 

I had cancelled my registration for the Conference on 21-25 June 2020 and I am unable to determine whether I can attend the rescheduled Conference at this time. Can I register at a later date?

Yes. See the IPC 2020 website for information about how to register for the rescheduled Conference.

What if I previously cancelled, will I receive a refund minus the 50 EUR cancelation fee?

If you previously cancelled, the 50 EUR cancelation fee will be automatically applied in all refunds.

Travel and hotel arrangement

How can I get reimbursed for travel expenses?

Unfortunately, the organizing committee cannot reimburse travel expenses. Please contact the airline, train service, etc. directly to inquire about reimbursement. Many major airlines have updated their cancellation conditions so passengers can change their travel plans free of charge.  

What should I do with my hotel booking?

If you managed your hotel arrangements personally, please get in touch with the hotel explaining the situation. They will help you reschedule your bookings.

The hotel, airline company or travel agency would not reschedule or reimburse my booking for free, will the Conference reimburse me?

No. The Conference Secretariat, C-IN, is not responsible for financial engagements undertaken by third parties.

What is the new abstract submission deadline?

What should I do if a already submitted an abstract but cannot attend in the new dates?

Please, inform us in writing at abstracts@probiotic-conference.net.
